Congratulations again to the Class of 2026!!

“Your call is sublime; become what God dreams for you.” (Maxim 1)

Today the United States remembers those who have lost their lives in war, a calling that is sometimes seen as sublime (that is, "of such excellence, grandeur or beauty as to inspire admiration and awe") because of the sacrifices involved in that form of service. Although few of us will literally die in battle, all of us will give our lives to something, whether it is our family, our faith, a cause or career, or something else. We may not give our lives all at once, but instead through the love we offer to the world over the course of a lifetime, day after day and year after year. Another translation encourages us to keep God’s call “always before your eyes” in order to discern and live into God's dream. We particularly pray this for the graduating class of 2026 this week, that as they move into their next chapter they might discover God’s will for their lives. And as we look ahead to summer, may each of us stay attuned to God’s dream for us..
