Thank you for showing up, cheering on our scholars, and helping make the start of the school day extra special. We’re grateful for the many fathers, grandfathers, uncles, mentors, and caring adults who support our scholars every day!

School starts next week, Breakthrough families! 🎒💜

We’re so excited to welcome our scholars back for another year of learning, growing, making friends, and being part of the Breakthrough community.

📚 Kindergartners start Monday, August 17
✏️ Grades 1–8 start Tuesday, August 18

Families, now is a great time to make sure backpacks are ready, routines are set, and everyone knows their first-day plans. We can’t wait to see our classrooms full again and kick off a great school year together!

New this school year: Yondr Pouches at Breakthrough

We want scholars focused on learning, connecting with their classmates, and being present throughout the school day. This year, all Breakthrough scholars will use a school-provided Yondr Pouch to safely store their phones during the day.

Here’s how it works: scholars will turn off and secure their phone in their pouch at arrival, keep the pouch in their backpack during the school day, and have it unlocked by staff at dismissal.

Families, we appreciate your partnership in helping scholars adjust to this new routine and reinforcing the expectation that phones stay stored during the school day. 💜

We’re excited for a more focused, joyful and engaging year ahead!
