With so much happening at the end of the school year, there’s one event we forgot to spotlight… 🎶🍴

Our After-School All-Stars End-of-Year Showcase! Students came together to show off everything they learned this year in culinary arts and DJing—and let’s just say, there were some real party starters in the making. 🎧🔥

A huge thank you to Mr. Adams and everyone who helped make this program such a success! And don’t forget: After-School All-Stars will be hosting its summer program throughout the month of June. Be sure to check out our earlier summer program post for details! ☀️

📢 Work Permit Season is Upon Us, HSA!

Students seeking a work permit should follow the step-by-step instructions below to complete their application.

Please note: HSA is the final step in the process. Before submitting your permit paperwork, make sure:
✅ All sections are completely filled out
✅ The physical physician's certificate page is signed and stamped by a doctor

Summer office hours for work permit submissions are Monday–Friday, 9:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m.

⚠️ Please plan ahead! HSA will be closed June 29 – July 10, and work permits will not be processed during that time.

📣 End of Year Reminder – HSA Cleveland High School

The last day for HSA Cleveland High School students is May 28th.

Only students who have missed an exam and need to complete make-ups should report on May 29th.

All other students, enjoy your summer—we will see you in the fall on August 10th! ☀️📚

On this Memorial Day, we pause to honor and remember the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. Their sacrifice is the reason for this day, and we are forever grateful for the freedoms we are able to enjoy because of their courage and dedication.

As we gather with family and friends, let us also take a moment to reflect, remember, and give thanks to those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our nation.

We honor them today and always. 🇺🇸

Reminder: There will be no school on May 25th, and the building will be closed for the day.

Students will return on Tuesday to begin final exams. Please note that there will be early release each day during exam week to support testing schedules.

We encourage students to get plenty of rest and come prepared to finish the school year strong! 📚✨

🎓✨ Horizon Science Academy Cleveland High School proudly celebrated its 24th graduating class as 58 seniors officially received their diplomas and closed an important chapter in their lives. We could not be more proud of the Class of 2026 and all they have accomplished.

Congratulations to our Valedictorian, Kaylen McFarland, and Salutatorian, Alaysia Rox! 👏 We also congratulate Ta’Miya Lilly, recipient of the Horizon School Culture Award, for her positive impact on our school community.

A special acknowledgment goes to Darrien Knox, who was presented his diploma prior to the ceremony as he prepares to ship out for boot camp and begin his next journey of service. 🇺🇸
