Our Story

The United Christian Academy (UCA) was established in 2003 as a part of the vision for Christ-centered education established by Rev. H. Richard Hall, the founder of the United Christian Church and Ministerial Association. UCA is a member of the Tennessee Association of Nonpublic Academic Schools International (TANAS). The United Christian Academy operates under the umbrella of the United Christian Church & Ministerial Association and is overseen by their Board of Directors and by the United Christian school board.

Our classroom teachers are well trained, dedicated followers of Jesus Christ, many of whom are graduates of our own Lee University. Our principal, Mrs. Rocio Acevedo is an Ordained Minister who is currently pastors Living Water Worship Center with her husband Daniel Acevedo. They have been married for almost 25 years and have 3 children together. Mrs. Acevedo has a Bachelor’s degree in Liberal Arts, began a Masters Program in Counseling , but the Lord had other plans. She has over 20 years of teaching experience, and is currently pursuing an Administrative Certificate through TANAS .

UCA is accredited by TANAS which is approved by the Tennessee Department of Education as a non-public school accrediting organization serving students from Preschool (Pre K3) through twelve grade. UCA employs the respected and established Christian Faith-based ABeka curriculum. Our electives include art, music, band, drama, Bible, physical education and computer literacy. Our extra-curricular activities include cross country, volleyball, track and field, and basketball. Also, we have a cheer leading/dance team.
