🚨 CMSD Fathers Walk 2026 Update!

We are excited to announce that 61 of 63 available CMSD schools have confirmed their participation in the 21st Annual Fathers Walk: A Day of Engagement on Thursday, September 17, 2026.

That’s approximately 97% participation across CMSD!

This marks a major milestone for the district and may be the first time Fathers Walk participation has reached this level across both K-8 schools and high schools.

From traditional walks and breakfasts to literacy activities, mentoring circles, wellness events, classroom visits, college and career conversations, virtual experiences, and after-school programs — our schools are finding creative ways to help fathers, father figures, mentors, male caregivers, and positive male role models show up with purpose.

This is what it looks like when schools, families, and community partners come together to Let ’Em Know that our scholars are supported.

📣 LET ’EM KNOW!!!

Man, what a day! 💙🙌🏾

CMSD came out in FULL FORCE for the Labor Day Parade, and A TIME WAS HAD! 😂

Cheerleaders bringing the energy. The John Marshall Marching Band keeping us moving. Scholars, families, staff, Parent Ambassadors, Say Yes Cleveland, community partners and everybody in between showing Cleveland what ONE CMSD looks like!

But it's the little moments for me...

Hearing somebody in the crowd say, “Wait…CMSD has a food truck at East Tech?!” 😮

YES WE DO! 😂

Then watching a young scholar get excited about our float and ask if they could take a picture on it—and getting to tell them that CMSD scholars helped design and build it.

THAT'S why we show up.

Sometimes you have to get outside the walls of the school and LET ’EM KNOW what's happening inside! 📣

Great scholars. Great programs. Great people. Great opportunities.

Cleveland, we hope you heard us! 💙

A doctor’s appointment shouldn’t have to mean choosing between work, transportation, school attendance, and getting your child the care they need.

Through CMSD’s school-based healthcare partnerships with MetroHealth and Cleveland Clinic, scholars can access care during the school day — helping remove barriers for families while keeping students healthy, present, and prepared to learn

From physicals and sports clearances to care when a scholar simply isn’t feeling well, healthcare is closer to the classroom.
