In partnership with College Now, the Cuyahoga DD scholarship is open for the Cleveland State University (CSU) Reciprocal Inclusive Student Experience (RISE) Program.

Eligible students receive services from Cuyahoga DD and plan to enroll in the Cleveland State University RISE Program for the first time.

RISE is a two to four-year transition certificate program that empowers students with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities to continue their post-secondary education.

The RISE program is not just a university program; the RISE program changes lives! We work every day to create a safe, welcoming, and accessible environment for all our students. They are all important! Paulo Freire, a Brazilian educator, said: “Education does not change the world, education changes people, and people change the world!” Access and opportunity are what drive us! Thank you Karleo for your words!

Today was our last day of class! We had an amazing time together! The students receive a certificate and a goodie bag! To celebrate, we set up a table filled with delicious food! The RISE Program is fun, learning, inclusion, and autonomy!

We love events where we can have fun and make friends! Today we’re participating in CarniVike!

Friday night our students were present at the lacrosse game! The RISE program encourages students to participate in university events and make friends outside the program! Let’s go RISE!!!!!!
