Cleveland Middle School - Warrior Band Boosters

Join us in welcoming our new assistant band director for the Cleveland Middle School Warrior Band, Mr. Adrian Woodard!

Adrian Woodard earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education from Lamar University in 2018 and his Master’s Degree from Texas Tech University in 2021.

In Fall 2018, he began his career at Cleveland Middle School where he taught the Symphonic Band and taught various beginner classes. In Fall 2020, he transitioned to Cleveland High School where he taught the Concert Band, Jazz Band, and eventually the Symphonic Band. In 2023, he worked at Magnolia High School in Magnolia ISD, where he taught the Symphonic Band and the Magnolia High School Jazz Ensemble while assisting the Magnolia High School Marching Band. Mr. Woodard also taught beginner trumpet at Bear Branch Intermediate while in Magnolia ISD.

Mr. Woodard is excited to begin his 9th year of teaching. When he is not teaching, he enjoys spending time with his family, his wife Bekah, daughter A.J, and son Desmond. He also enjoys golfing, gaming and watching sports, especially his beloved Tennessee Titans.

Mr. Woodard is very excited to be returning to Cleveland Middle School and Cleveland ISD!

As we get ready for the last day of school, we can’t thank our 7th and 8th graders enough for a fantastic year! Our CMS Spring Concert was a success!

Congratulations to our CMS Honors Band! The Honors Band, led by Mrs. Resendez, participated in the UIL Region 9 Concert & Sight Reading Evaluation and received a Superior rating on stage and in sight reading, earning their trophy! Bravo!! 👏🏼

Congratulations to our CMS Symphonic Band! The Concert Band, led by Mr. Quintana, participated in the UIL Region 9 Concert & Sight Reading Evaluation and received a Superior rating from all 6 judges (111-111) getting their sweepstakes trophy! Bravo!! 👏🏼

Today our CMS Bands participated at our CISD Pre-UIL! We can’t wait to use the judges feedback to keep improving! Great job, bands!

Spring Break/Egg Hunt Band Bash was a blast! 🐣🥚🌼

We had 112 band students participate in our Solo and Ensemble Contest this Saturday! Our students played for a judge for a rating. 96 students received a Division 1 rating (highest rating a student can receive) and 16 students made a Division 2 rating!
Our twirlers duet and soloist also all made a Division 1! Our CMS band students make us so proud!
