🚌 TRANSPORTATION UPDATE 🚌

Happy Sunday, CCP Families!

New transportation routes begin tomorrow, Monday, September 21, 2026.

Please have scholars at their designated bus stops at least five minutes before their scheduled pickup times.

Updated routes were sent home and emailed to families on Thursday.

Requested stop adjustments have been submitted to the Transportation Department, and we are awaiting responses.
Please remember:

⏰ New transportation requests may take three to four weeks to process.

📞 All dismissal changes—including bus, walker, car rider, parent pickup, or daycare—must be reported to the main office before 2:00 p.m.

🚗 Early pickup ends at 3:00 p.m. Scholars will not be released between 3:00 and 3:30 p.m. to ensure a safe and orderly dismissal.

📚 i-Ready Diagnostic Testing for Grades K–8 💻

Our scholars will complete their i-Ready

Diagnostic assessments on the following dates:

📖 Reading: Tuesday, September 8, 2026
➗ Math: Wednesday, September 9, 2026

Please help your scholar prepare by ensuring they:

✅ Attend school and arrive on time each testing day
✅ Get a good night’s rest
✅ Eat a healthy, protein-filled breakfast
✅ Bring their Chromebook and charger, if applicable
✅ Bring wired headphones
✅ Take their time and give their best effort

📢 NO SCHOOL — LABOR DAY

Cleveland College Preparatory School will be closed on Monday, September 7, 2026, in observance of Labor Day.

School resumes on Tuesday, September 8, 2026.

⏰ Doors open at 7:30 a.m.
👕 All scholars must arrive in full school uniform.

We look forward to welcoming our scholars back on Tuesday!

CCP Families,

Due to extreme heat, there will be no school tomorrow (Wednesday, September 2, 2026). While scholars remain safely at home, they may complete the following extra-credit assignment:

📝 Kindergarten–Grade 3:
Write one to five cohesive sentences, appropriate for your grade level, about what you can do on a hot day. Scholars must also illustrate their writing.

📚 Grades 4–8:
Research climate change and write a multi-paragraph argumentative essay explaining whether you are for or against closing schools due to climate change. Essays must include supporting details and facts from the research.
