We all had a wonderful time at STEM education day with the Cleveland Guardians. Even though Cleveland did not win we still had a ball! Last field trip of the year! !

On April 30, TRIO Seniors had an inspiring motivational talk and a valuable lesson in financial literacy—perfect prep for college life ahead.

Congratulations to our 2025 TRIO Seniors!! The senior banquet took place on the campus of Penn State Behrend last week! A very special thank you to our college partner Penn State Behrend! A great time was had by all who attended! We are so proud of you and wish the very best in the years to come. Please know that your TRIO family will always be here to support and encourage you!!

28 students attended a field trip to the University of Akron! Mrs. Olsen's alma mater! The students spent the day in the College of Engineering and Polymer Science. The ended the day with a trip to Dave and Busters for some fun and food! Many of our students are now interested in the University of Akron! 30 Talent search students attended a field trip to Penn State Behrend on November 7th. They attended an admissions presentation, toured the campus, and ate lunch in the dining hall. Several of our seniors are now interested in applying to PSB!

30 TRIO students attended a field trip to Cleveland, OH on Saturday, November 16th. They visited the Cleveland Aquarium, Museum of Illusions and dined at local restaurants. They learned that there are over 9 college and universities in the area! All had a great time! !

Have you ever heard of Talent Search? Do you know of a student who attends the Charter School of Excellence, East Middle School, Erie High School, or Wilson Middle School? TRIO Talent Search is a federal outreach and student service program designed to help students see the benefits and possibilities of a post-secondary education. The TRIO program is administered by the Northwest Tri-County Intermediate Unit. The Talent Search program provides an array of academic services to help generate the skills and motivation necessary for a successful post-secondary educational experience and successful career.
