Jessica, Mother of Reading Plus student – 8/14/2014

“While our child had tested gifted, and had shown a real strength in math, we knew there was an issue with his reading. He had the ability to read most things we put in front of him, but he was not interested, couldn’t answer questions as to what he had read, and could not sit still to read a whole paragraph at once (but ADHD had been ruled out). We couldn’t quite put our finger on it or explain it, but something was blocking him. Over the course of three years, we had three different reading tutors. Each one felt that he was fine and was working to his potential (which was barely grade average). Our physician recommended we talk to Rose Marie Sedlak and, through their recommendation, we tried Reading Plus. Reading Plus accomplished in one month what three years of one-on-one tutoring could not. His teachers noticed a drastic improvement, we noticed a difference, but most importantly, our son felt more confident and started to enjoy reading. The program was easy to use, enjoyable to him, and effective. When the results of his state testing came in, we were simply overwhelmed. He not only rated above proficient (the highest level) but actually achieved the top scores in both reading and math in the state. We knew he had it in him, and could not be happier that Reading Plus allowed him to unlock his potential.”
