We had a wonderful afternoon at Project Preview; where we gather and introduce our provisional members to all of our committee projects and goals for the year.

We are SO excited for the busy season ahead! 🙌🏼

Join us for an afternoon of tech-free fun with our SCREENS OFF, SMILES ON event!

This project is organized by our Character Builders Committee and focuses on our National Association of Junior Auxiliaries, Inc. effort to “Disconnect to Reconnect” and encourages giving technology a break to engage with one another *screen free*!

In support of this project, ladies of our chapter donated over 20 toys including board games, cards and ones perfect for outside fun! Thank you to all who contributed!!

Congratulations to our August Member of the Month, Crista Cooper! 💙

Crista is originally from Greenville, MS and obtained her Bachelor of Arts in English from Mississippi State University in 2020 and then went on to receive her Masters of Education degree at Mississippi Christian College in 2021. Currently, she works as the Director of Main Street & Community Development at the Cleveland-Bolivar County Chamber of Commerce!

Along with their two mini dachshunds, Mavrick & Jose, Crista and her husband Lawson reside in Cleveland. After completing her Provisional Year in 2025-2026, Crista jumped right into being our AMAZING Corresponding Secretary!! In this role she keeps us all organized, on-task and informed! Outside of her board position, she is Child Safety Chair, Children's Benefit Ball Auction Co-Chair and a Cultural Committee member.

What is her favorite part about serving in Junior Auxiliary?

"I’ve met so many women through JA that I probably never would have crossed paths with otherwise, and I love that we are each other’s biggest cheerleaders. The kiddos we serve get to see how much fun we have together, and that joy carries right over into the time we spend with them!" 🥹🫶

We celebrate the life and legacy of our Life Member, Alice Joyce Kennedy 💙 Our chapter welcomed her wisdom to our ladies just last year for an Education Hour. A true servant her entire life! We send our condolences to her family and friends.

This past Sunday, our Crown Club held its first meeting of the JA year! They welcomed new members, got a chance to mingle and socialize with one another, discussed upcoming events and even enjoyed a dirty soda bar! 🥤👑💙

A total of 37 Crown Club girls attended and we are THRILLED that these lovely young ladies have an interest in serving the children of our community and we know they will do great things for our chapter! Thank you to our amazing Crown Club committee for organizing! 😍
