The semester is coming to an end and finals are upon us! Our senior, Marika, reflects on how AXO has helped her academically!
“As a senior, something i’ve noticed in my time as an alpha chi is that the chapter really wants to help us succeed academically. for me personally, when I joined the chapter my big was VP intellectual development at the time, and she has been such an incredible support system - she’s helped me talk through my assignments and set goals for myself, as well as encouraging me to seek the heights both personally and professionally. chapter-wise, what i really enjoyed this semester was the creation of a study zoom room, where sisters could meet and study with each other like we would if we were in the house or on-campus together. i’ve hopped on once or twice, and it’s been really productive each time!” 💚❤️
Good luck with finals everyone!

As we enter winter break and a new year, we reflect on the unprecedented semester and the year of 2020. Even though our in-person times have been limited, we have appreciated the times together through Zoom chapter, initiation, and sisterhood events such as bachelorette watch party and baking together! We also had RM wellness workshops on climate change, self care, and racism & equity.
We will miss each other this break but can’t wait for recruitment! ❤️💚

As recruitment is around the corner we would like to share a special piece of our ritual with you! The red carnation is our flower and see what this means to our VP Ritual & Fraternal appreciation!
“The red carnation is a beautiful representation of our colors, scarlet and olive green, which combined stem from our chapter’s founding during the Fall seasons. It also symbolizes our deep love and affection - a tribute to our unconditional sisterhood” ❤️
Have you signed up for recruitment? Link in bio!

Our sister Alice encourages everyone to sign up for recruitment this coming Spring!
“For me, going through recruitment was one of the biggest and best decisions I have made. For a long time I have been scared of joining a sorority because I wasn’t too sure if I would fit in. As a nursing student, it often felt like I was only hanging around nursing students. So I decided to push myself to step out of my comfort zone and try it out. Little did I know it would have been one of the best decisions I have made. Not only have I found a group of girls who would support me through anything, but I have found a family full of real strong women.
I would recommend others to go through recruitment because you never know what can happen! You might be wondering if sorority life is really for you but if you don’t try it out you will never know!” 💚❤️

At the outset of the COVID-19 pandemic, numerous fields experienced a rapid shift to virtual operations. This week we are highlight all of our sisters that serve on our Panhellenic board!
Our sister Elyssa, newly elected VP Marketing & Communications says “After serving as Secretary for the IFC/PHC Exec board, I loved getting the opportunity to work with all the unique individual chapters in the Greek community to collaborate on initiatives and connect with one another. I couldn’t wait to get more involved and ran for VPMC. In this position, I’m excited to continue building upon these lines of communication with other chapters and the rest of the CWRU community to get to know them better and work together to help improve our campus.”
Also congrats to our sister Rachel, newly elected VP citizenship!

This week we are highlighting how our family lines empower and support each other! Many sisters have become mentors and best friends for each other and this is one of the many family lines!
Our sister, Lina, says “My fam line has helped me so much ever since big/little reveal! I think the experience being virtual was somewhat of a blessing because I was able to meet my gbig who was abroad, all the way up to my ggggbig! They inspire me to be a stronger, better person and I love them all so much! My big Ale made such a huge effort to make me feel welcome in this chapter, and has consistently been there for me with open arms. I love you guys so much!!” ❤️💚
