October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, providing an opportunity to promote awareness, education, and access to valuable health resources within our community.

The Bolivar County MCV Club is pleased to host a Breast Cancer Awareness Health Fair in partnership with health organizations and community partners. We invite community members to join us for an evening focused on connecting individuals and families with information, resources, and organizations dedicated to supporting community health.

We’re excited to bring back the Bolivar County Movers for the Fall Edition of the Magnolia Moves Activity Challenge!

This fall, we’ll be meeting on Tuesday mornings at 10:00 AM for a 30-minute group walk at the DSU Walking Trail. It’s a great opportunity to get active, stay motivated, and connect with others in our community!

**Don’t forget to register on the MoveSpring App and join the Bolivar County Team if you haven’t already done so!**

Group Walk Dates:
October 13 • October 20 • October 27
November 3 • November 10

If you plan to participate in the Tuesday morning group walks with Mary Presley McLellan, please visit the Bolivar County Extension Office to complete a liability form.

If you already completed a liability form during the Spring Magnolia Moves, you do not need to complete another one.

🌾🍚 September is National Rice Month! 🍚🌾

At our monthly 4-H club meeting, our 4-H’ers got to learn all about rice—from how it’s grown to the important role it plays in agriculture and our everyday lives. And, of course, we couldn’t just learn about rice… we had to put it to good use! 👩‍🍳👨‍🍳 Our 4-H’ers even made a delicious rice dish together!

We are so thankful for ALL of our local farmers who work hard to grow the food that feeds our families and communities. 🚜🌱 But this September, we’re especially proud to highlight and celebrate our rice farmers! 🌾🍚
