So thankful for my families who have been patient with scheduling this fall! Moving students from summer to fall is a beast!

However, I’ve also been working on something else too! Today, I passed the International Dyslexia’s KPeeri exam to move towards being a dyslexia interventionist.

Don’t worry, I already provide excellent support for my students with dyslexia, but more formality isn’t bad!

Knocking out some training now that I have a break from Master's classes. This micro-credential further supports that EBLI Evidence-Based Literacy Instruction aligns with IDA standards for structured literacy. I'm so thankful for reading intervention that works!

From Credentials Unlimited: Credentials Unlimited follows a rigorous process to approve a micro-credential, ensuring it aligns with high standards in literacy education. The process begins with mapping the course's assessment or outcome product to the Knowledge and Practice Standards for the Teachers of Reading (IDA, 2017), conducted by literacy experts. This ensures that the course content is aligned with the most current and effective literacy practices. Additionally, an online quality review of the professional development course is completed by a trained Credentials Unlimited team member. This review provides constructive feedback to the course developer, focusing on improving the course, rather than rating it. Literacy experts from Credentials Unlimited also thoroughly review the course content to ensure it meets the expectations and standards of the Science of Reading or Structured Literacy. This comprehensive process guarantees that every micro-credential supports high-quality, evidence-based literacy instruction.

So thankful for the country we live in with all of its freedoms. Thankful for those who serve to make it possible and the incredible history we have. Good, bad, and even the ugly.

I am a total believer in OT exercises to improve reading skills. The whole body is important! Check this out and always look at your child holistically.

This is more of an educational question/thought about devices in schools. What are the opinions of those here on tech in classrooms/life?

This mom has an engaging point. Thoughts?

Another famous person sharing about their dyslexia. Your child is not broken; they need more time and work! Dyslexic students often need more repetitions than neurotypical learners (the rest of us) think is necessary. They aren't being lazy; they need more input.

The actor has revealed he turned down presenting Saturday Night Live out of fear of cue cards changing.

For my homeschool mammas, this is a last minute resource, but maybe you can sign up and watch later.

All About Learning has a solid reading curriculum and this webinar seems to be a good one!
