Applications are now open for Cleveland Leadership Center’s Accelerate 2022: Citizens Make Change, presented in partnership with Citizens. Accelerate is a civic pitch competition that gives individuals an opportunity to bring their community-focused ideas to life. Anyone with an idea to make Greater Cleveland a better place to work, live, play, or visit can apply. The overall winner receives $5,000 and the remaining five finalists wins $2,000 to help launch their idea. Ideas with a technology component can win additional $3,500 in the Technovation Competition. In collaboration with campus and community partners, the Center for Civic Engagement & Learning’s (CCEL) Social Change Series spotlights different forms of civic engagement that contribute to social change, such as community service, advocacy, philanthropy, political involvement, and social responsibility.
