Last week we were so excited to share a little literacy love with our Mayfield students! ๐Ÿ“š

Thanks to a wonderful partnership between Reading Is Fundamental and Amazon, our K-2 grade students received literacy kits to help encourage a love of reading both at school and at home!

We are so thankful for organizations like RIF and Amazon who believe in the power of books and helping children build a strong foundation in literacy. Seeing our students excited to receive their books is the best part! ๐Ÿ“–๐Ÿฆ…

We are also grateful for our librarian, Mrs. Grubb, for coordinating this wonderful opportunity and helping bring these literacy kits to our students.

Thank you for investing in our Mayfield Eagles and helping put books in the hands of our students! ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ“š

Today weโ€™re celebrating Kim Hartwig, Mayfieldโ€™s instructional coach! ๐Ÿ’™

Kim is one of those people who is always willing to help, whether itโ€™s working alongside a teacher, helping problem-solve, sharing an idea, or just being there when someone needs a hand. She cares about our teachers and our students, and that shows in everything she does. We are so thankful for the support she gives our staff and for all the behind the scenes work she does to help make Mayfield a better place.

Thank you, Kim, for always being willing to help, for cheering us on, and for being such an important part of our Mayfield family! We appreciate you more than you know! ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿฆ…

Twin Day in 4th Grade!

We had a little fun last week in 4th grade with a Twin Day, and these kids definitely got into it! Matching outfits to matching smiles, they had a blast finding their โ€œtwinsโ€ and showing off their looks. ๐Ÿ’™

Happy National Custodian Day! โค๏ธ๐Ÿ’™

Today weโ€™re celebrating our amazing daytime custodian, Mrs. Rachel! She works so hard to keep Mayfield clean, safe, and looking its best every single day, but what makes her truly special is the love she has for our students. ๐Ÿฅฐ

Mrs. Rachel can often be found laughing with our kiddos, lending a listening ear, or even joining them for a game at recess! She goes above and beyond in so many ways, and we are so thankful to have her as part of our Mayfield family. ๐Ÿฆ…

Thank you for all you do, Mrs. Rachel! We appreciate you more than you know! ๐Ÿ’™โค๏ธ

๐Ÿ’™ Help us celebrate our August & September Staff Members of the Month! ๐Ÿ’™

๐ŸŒŸ August โ€“ Mrs. Rachel, Daytime Custodian
Mrs. Rachel is one of those people who goes above and beyond every single day. She works incredibly hard, but what makes her so special is the time she takes to get to know our students. She has been known to use her lunch break to sit and eat with our kiddos and has even been spotted out on the playground playing soccer with them! She truly goes beyond keeping our school cleanโ€”she has become someone our students know, love, and look forward to seeing each day. ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿฆ…

๐ŸŒŸ September โ€“ Mrs. Burnette, ERC Teacher
Our students know her as Mrs. B, and thereโ€™s a reason she is so loved! Mrs. Burnette is patient, kind, understanding, and always willing to listen. She works hard to meet her students where they are and always strives to give them her very best. Her compassion and dedication make a difference in the lives of her students every single day. ๐Ÿ’™

We are so thankful for Mrs. Rachel and Mrs. B and everything they bring to Mayfield! Congratulations to two very deserving members of our Mayfield family! ๐ŸŽ‰๐Ÿฆ…๐Ÿ’™

As our Staff Members of the Month, both ladies receive a FREE lunch and thanks to HOTWORX they receive a FREE month at HOTWORX! ๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ’ช
