We are sisters who started our homeschool in 2008, after graduating from Sam Houston State.

Moments like these are very precious. Unlike most schools, we get to have the privilege of teaching kiddos for multiple years. We grow to know these kiddos, form relationships with them, and end up treating these kiddos just like our own. Trinity came to us when she was just seven years old. Yesterday was her official last day with us. She has officially finished all of the credits she needs to earn with us, and Lord willing, we will have an official graduation for her in December. It has been a wonderful 9 years with her. We are so proud of the young lady she has grown up to be, but man it sure is hard to let kiddos like her go.

There are going to be kiddos who can pick up on their education quickly. They will always find it easy to be A and B students. There are kiddos who are going to struggle with their education and who will always have to work very hard at being B and C students. Some of the kiddos who we have been blessed to teach over the past 20 years, we have seen that even though they may not have had strengths in their general education, they had amazing strengths in taking care of other students, in encouraging others, in home economics, etc. All kiddos have strengths and gifts. It’s our job as teachers to encourage the gifts they have, whatever those gifts may be.

What a blessing this 18th year of school has been. 18 years!!! I’m thankful for our parents who entrust their children’s education and care to us. What a responsibility it is but an even greater privilege!

Our last day of school was today! Yes, we have summer school six weeks out of the summer, but we get a break before then, and it is so welcomed and needed for students and teachers alike! Today, we played a game of Jeopardy in our language class. I was so proud of the kiddos: all questions were answered correctly, and all 3 groups got 100’s for their final language grade. It makes me feel like I’m doing something right 😂 I’m ready for a break, but I’ll miss these kiddos!

So Kim texted me and said that one of our students had left her a small note on a dry erase board on Thursday and that she saw it today. It is a privilege to be able to work with kiddos and to form relationships with them. We are ending our 18th year in two weeks, and we are so thankful God has seen us through all these years! We are looking forward to # 19.📚✏️🖍️

It’s things like this that make teaching such a blessing! I love that we get to have such strong relationships with our students.

A great way to end the week with a sweet note left by two of our precious girls. We feel so blessed to be able to have the school that we do and to be able to guide and love our kiddos.

The 2025-2026 school year is well underway 📚. A fall costume party and outside play in the cooler weather is always so nice! 🍁🎃We love when all the kiddos get outside and play together. We feel so blessed to be able to educate these kiddos!
