Congratulations to our Kindergarten graduates!
This morning, we celebrated our youngest Longhorns as they marked a big milestone in their educational journey. Their smiles, songs, and excitement filled the room as families, teachers, and staff cheered them on.
We are so proud of these students and all they have learned and accomplished this year. A special thank you to our teachers, staff, and families for helping them grow, learn, and shine.
Way to go, Kindergarten graduates! The future is bright!

Our ELA and Math departments wrapped up STAAR season by celebrating the hard work, dedication, and perseverance of our students with a well-earned Fun Day!
Throughout STAAR Boot Camp, students had the opportunity each day to earn points by working hard, staying engaged, and giving their best effort in class. Students who reached the points goal were rewarded with a day full of fun, laughter, and time with friends outside.
Students enjoyed volleyball, flag football, soccer, an inflatable obstacle course, snacks, candy, drinks, and of course delicious snow cones from Tarkington Snowballs, who graciously came out to help us celebrate these amazing students!
We are incredibly proud of our students for their effort and determination, but we also want to recognize our incredible ELA and Math teachers. The amount of time, planning, encouragement, and love they pour into helping students succeed does not go unnoticed. This day was just one small way to show our students how much they are appreciated for all of their hard work this year.
Thank you to everyone who helped make this day such a success!

Tarkington ISD has been actively monitoring the weather conditions for graduation. After careful consideration, the decision has been made to move the graduation ceremony indoors. The Tarkington High School Class of 2026 Graduation Ceremony will be held on Thursday, May 28, at 7:30 p.m. at Cleveland High School Gymnasium, located at 1600 East Houston Street, Cleveland, Texas 77327.
Due to the indoor location, seating in the gymnasium will be limited. To ensure that every graduate’s family has the opportunity to attend, we kindly ask that each family limit their number of guests to ten people. Once the gym reaches capacity, additional guests will be able to watch the ceremony from the overflow viewing area in the commons.
For those who are unable to attend in person and would like to watch graduation, the ceremony will be livestreamed on the Tarkington ISD page:

We appreciate your patience and understanding as we make this adjustment with the safety and comfort of our graduates, families, staff, and guests in mind. We look forward to celebrating the Class of 2026 and this special milestone with you.
