Meet Brian Sweigart & learn more about Eurhythmics at CIM 09/10/2021

We are very excited for Prof. Brian Sweigart (Head of Eurhythmics at Cleveland Institue of Music) to join us at LeeU Collab Music!

"Eurhythmics is the study of rhythm through body movement, based on the work of educator Emile Jaques-Dalcroze. Music is experienced in many ways – through the ear, through the mind, and through the body. Eurhythmics harnesses all of those experiences in order to strengthen their relationship and allow a performer to have greater expressive control over their performances. In this introductory session, we will explore how music and movement work together to reinforce the foundational rhythmic concepts of pulse and subdivision, and how those concepts can be combined in various ways to reinforce tempo, create meter, and generate polyrhythms such as 2 against 3."

Here is a short video clip of Mr. Sweigart introducing Eurhythmics. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XMBdg4u4f78

Tomorrow (9/11) is the last day to register for the LeeU Collab Music! Please join us in this wonderful collaborative journey!
