With great pride and heartfelt emotion, our school director, Evangelia Koukouras ,is honored to share that a photograph taken in 2023 —featuring three of our students during the Greek Independence Day parade here in Ohio—has been selected for the exhibition “Hellenic Footprints: Greek Stories in the Midwest” at the Hellenic Museum of Michigan in Detroit.
Out of many outstanding submissions from 12 participating states, only 75 photographs were chosen. This is a truly humbling and meaningful moment for our school community, as our students are represented in an exhibition that celebrates the journey, presence, and lasting contributions of Greek-Americans throughout the Midwest. The exhibition will remain open to the public through the end of the year.
This recognition belongs to our students, our families, and our entire school community, who continue to keep our traditions alive with pride and dedication.
We also extend our deepest and most sincere gratitude to Georgia Tasiopoulou, Consul of Greece in Chicago, for her unwavering support, guidance, and continuous dedication over the years. Her commitment to Hellenism and to our communities has been truly invaluable, and we are profoundly grateful for her encouragement and trust.
Our history continues to live through our children—their stories and the memories we create together.

🍎 Teacher Appreciation Week 🇬🇷
This week, we proudly celebrate our amazing Greek School teachers! Their dedication, passion, and love for teaching truly go above and beyond, inspiring our students every day while helping preserve our language and culture.
We invite all students to show their appreciation by writing a short note in Greek or creating a drawing for their teachers. Younger children are welcome to simply write their names or draw a picture.
All submissions will be displayed on our hallway bulletin board as a small token of our gratitude.
Thank you to our wonderful teachers for everything you do! 💙
