We are so excited to introduce our Leadworthy Student Leadership Team!

This special group is made up of 4th and 5th grade students who are ready to grow as leaders and make a positive difference at Arnold Memorial Elementary.
Throughout the year, our student leaders will:
✨ Develop leadership skills
✨ Practice responsibility and teamwork
✨ Use their voices to make a difference
✨ Serve and encourage others
✨ Help with school initiatives
✨ Be positive role models for their peers

We are so proud of these students for stepping up, taking on new responsibilities, and choosing to lead by example. We can't wait to see the impact they make throughout the school year!

Congratulations to Mrs. Becky Marino for being chosen by our faculty and staff as our September Employee of the Month!❤️🖤

Here are just a few of the wonderful things shared about Mrs. Marino:

“Ms. Marino is a hard worker, she does Beta Club, she always has a smile for everyone, and she is a great, faithful friend!”

“Becky has been a wonderful resource and help to the ESL teachers. She is always willing to assist when needed. She voluntarily printed out Quick Cards for the ESL teachers, laminated them, cut them out, and sorted them. She has also been in the workroom sorting out die cuts and keeping things orderly. Becky is upbeat, full of energy, and quick to lend a helping hand. Thankful that Becky is part of the Arnold Team!”

Her hard work, positive attitude, willingness to help, and heart for others make such a difference in our school.

A Royal Celebration 👑🫖✨

Our Second Grade Mustangs enjoyed a Royal Tea Party to celebrate finishing Unit 1 of CKLA’s Fairy Tales and Tall Tales!

After exploring enchanting stories, meeting memorable characters, and discovering the magic of fairy tales and tall tales, our students got to celebrate their hard work in true royal fashion! From fancy drinks and delicious treats to lots of smiles and laughter, it was a special way to recognize all they have accomplished.

A very special thank you to Mrs. Runyan and Mrs. Day for working together to make this celebration so meaningful and memorable for their students. We love seeing our teachers create magical moments that make learning something students will remember!

We are so proud of our Second Grade Mustangs and all their hard work during Unit 1!

Our SPLENDID SPECIALS TEACHERS!

Our Specials teachers bring a little extra MAGIC to the Mustang experience! From STEM, PE, Music, and Library, they help our students discover new interests, build confidence, stay active, get creative, and learn beyond the traditional classroom! ❤️🖤🤍

🔬 **Mrs. Cantrell — STEM**
Mrs. Cantrell is in her 7th year in education! She encourages our Mustangs to ask questions, solve problems, think outside the box, and get excited about discovering how things work. STEM is always a place to explore, experiment, and have fun learning!

🏃‍♀️ Coach Murray — PE
Coach Murray is in her 7th year in education! Our Mustangs LOVE heading to PE! She encourages students to stay active, try new things, work together, and learn the importance of teamwork and healthy habits. She brings so much energy to our school!

🎶 Mrs. Swartzel — Music
Mrs. Swartzel is celebrating an incredible 46th year in education!🎉 She teaches our Mustangs the joy of music while helping them discover their creativity, learn new skills, and appreciate the power of music to bring people together. Her passion for teaching shines through!

📚 Mrs. Marino — Library
Mrs. Marino is celebrating her 29th year in education! She helps our Mustangs discover the MAGIC inside a good book and works hard to build a lifelong love of reading. She reminds students that books can take you places, spark your imagination, and introduce you to new ideas!

We are SO thankful for our Specials teachers! Their creativity, passion, experience, and dedication make such a difference in the lives of our Mustangs. We are incredibly lucky to have them as part of our Mustang family! 🐴

GRAND PEOPLE BREAKFAST IS COMING!

One of our favorite traditions is almost here! We are so excited to welcome our students and their Grand People to Arnold for a special morning together!

This year, we will have TWO separate breakfast dates to make sure everyone has plenty of room to enjoy this special time together!

🌟🐴 MUSTANG FACULTY & STAFF SPOTLIGHT! 🐴🌟

✨ The one, the only… KINDERGARTEN TRIO! ✨
Also known as our very own SUPERHEROES!

Our Kindergarten teachers have one of the most important jobs in our school—they help our youngest Mustangs begin their very first steps on their Mustang journey! From learning classroom routines and school expectations to making new friends, building confidence, and discovering a love for learning, these ladies do it ALL!

Mrs. Griswold — This is her 25th year as an educator! She loves trying new strategies and finding creative ways to help her Kindergarten students learn, grow, and feel successful. She works hard to make sure every student gets a strong and exciting start to their Mustang journey!

Mrs. Pollard — This is her 28th year as an educator! She has an incredible gift for creating a well-managed classroom while making learning fun and engaging. She helps her students learn the ins and outs of school while building a classroom where they feel safe, loved, and ready to learn!

Ms. Hawkins — This is her 28th year as an educator! She is always looking for fun, creative, and engaging ways to educate her students. She brings so much energy and excitement to the classroom and loves finding ways to make learning memorable for her little Mustangs!

Together, these three bring kindness, patience, love, experience, creativity, and a whole lot of heart to our Kindergarten classrooms. They help our littlest Mustangs learn not only how to be students, but how to be part of the Mustang family.

Our First 9-Week Arnold Way Students! ❤️

Arnold students follow the Arnold Way, which means we work hard, we choose a positive attitude, and we put others before ourselves.

These students were chosen by their teachers because they have earned this recognition by consistently showing what it means to live out the Arnold Way throughout the school year. Their hard work, positive attitudes, kindness, and willingness to put others first have truly stood out!

We are so proud of these amazing Mustangs and love celebrating the way they have earned this special recognition through their everyday choices and actions.

🌟❤️🖤 Celebrating Our First Model Mustangs! 🖤❤️🌟

This week, we celebrated two students as our very first Model Mustangs of the school year! Both were nominated by teachers for demonstrating “You Before Me” in the Arnold WAY.

❤️ Atlas has been working hard academically, making positive choices, and showing genuine care for others. His teachers have noticed his positive attitude and the way he is intentionally putting the Arnold WAY into action each day.

❤️ Brooklyn has gone out of her way to help our youngest Mustangs feel comfortable at breakfast. Without being asked, she helps kindergarten and new students navigate the cafeteria—showing them where to go, what to do, and making sure they feel welcomed along the way.
