After several attempts, this pineapple 🍍 top has started to re-root!!

In the past year, I have experimented and tried to grow my skill set to regrow certain foods. Potatoes, Asparagus, lettuces and pineapple are some examples of rooted plants that regrow roots.

We’ve also continued our practice at capturing seeds and regrowing them too. For example, grape seeds from a nearby Concord grape farm.

Our avocado 🥑 seed made it to about 1.5 ft then got a little too heat stroke I believe in July, despite being watered.

Definitely some trial and error. Wins and losses.

I had an AMAZING experience visiting Oxbow Orchard. With such a lovely variety of organic flowers!!!

The CVLC kids did an amazing job making bouquets for their fundraiser!!

Foster Pups 2024! From April 2024-July 2024, Cleveland Nature House has supported the journey of nine (9) dogs.

Our latest batch was Lorax, Horton, Yertile, Cindy Lou, Mr. Brown, and Marvin.

Dogs teach us many things, how to be more active, how to greet people with enthusiasm, how to explore with other senses, and to be sweet and kind. And while they are young, the teach us how to nurture and care someone other than ourselves.

Of the 8 years running Nature House, this was our first round with Foster Dogs. 🐕 We thank Kane’s Mission for the great work they do, and we hope all the dogs enjoy their new chapter in life after Nature House.

Terracycle!

For over a year now, I have collected aluminum wrappers snack bars- protein bars or granola or cereal bars.

As much as I like to make home-made, fresh food. As both a mom and small business owner, sometimes I do not have the time to balance everything and put time into meals or I am simply on-the-go.

Terracycle allows me this grace to recycle ♻️ this otherwise ‘worthless’ material and let’s me align with my ‘Zero-Waste’ values.

Today was my first drop off! I mistakenly went to the USPS first instead of UPS. Once I got to UPS they simply scanned and had me on my way in less than a minute. They took care of securing the box further if needed as well.

May we leave this planet for our children in the same or better shape. 🌎

In my small community circle, I’ve known two people that have lost all and most of their hair due to circumstances beyond their control.

I inadvertently grew my hair long. Then I realized it was about long enough to donate for a good cause. I tried years ago but it was too short. So this was my second try to donate. I grew the minimum 12” and then went to the more ideal 14”+ at about 15 inches.

I hope Wigs for Kids is able to do something with the donation and help a kid feel better.
