Hello ABELS Families!

The 2nd Annual Jack & Allie Superhero 5K and Family Fun Night is coming up on Saturday, November 7th from 4-8pm at Waterfront Park in Clermont! It is going to be a blast! There will be live non-stop entertainment, a game show, bounce houses, yard games, local vendors, food trucks, a glow stick dance party, and a sensory room (inside the Highlander Building) for those who need a break!

For those who do not know, Jack & Allie is a non-profit organization that several Southlake Autism and ABELS Academy employees founded to raise money for grants to help fill the financial gap for needed therapies and special education. It has grown exponentially over the past couple of years and has been able to serve more than ABELS and Southlake Autism families! This 5K is our biggest fundraiser of the year! Last year we raised just over $12,000 that went directly to grants! One of our students at ABELS Academy won the t-shirt design contest so the 5K race shirt is designed by one of our own!

We need your help to make this year bigger and better!

UPDATE: EARLY DISMISSAL ON FRIDAY, OCTOBER 9th at 1:00 pm for the whole school due to an ABELS Staff event. Dismissal will be from 1:00-1:15 pm.

This year's 5K shirt was designed by a local artist with special needs — and his
talent isn't the only thing that'll move you.

When he won a $100 gift card for his design, he didn't just spend it on himself. He
used it to buy his mom coffee. 🥹☕

That's what this race is all about — a community that shows up for each other, in

Our school director, Stephanie met with their organization to help them learn more about ABELS Academy, its amazing students and how generous donations, like this one made to Jack & Allie, benefit our school and therapy community. Thank you to those who were able to attend our Meet the Teacher and Open House today. It was a pleasure to see so many smiling faces back on campus. We look forward to seeing everyone on Monday as we head into our 10th year at ABELS Academy! We appreciate the support and encouragement from all our families and staff. Thank you for being part of our community! ❤️
