Calling all artists and creators in Lake County! Show off your creativity and help us design the official t-shirt for the Jack & Allie Superhero 5K! Our 2026 5K will take place on November 7th, 2026 at Waterfront Park in Clermont!

We’re looking for a bold, inspiring design that captures the spirit of our event. Your design should feature one or more of the following themes:

5K run/walk
🦸 Superheroes
💙 Autism awareness
🌴 Iconic scenes, landmarks, or elements of Clermont/Lake County

🖌 Design Guidelines:

Designs may be hand-drawn/painted/colored or digital
Handmade designs should be created on a white sheet of printer paper (note: white areas may become transparent when printed)
Designs must be submitted as a JPG or PDF
The winning design may be digitally enhanced or recreated for print quality while preserving your original concept

🏆 Prize:

The winner will receive a $100 gift card of their choice
Your design will be featured on the official race t-shirt!

📣 Who Can Enter:

Open to Lake County residents of all ages with disabilities and/or special needs

📅 Submission Details:

April is Autism Awareness Month! ABELS Academy will honor Autism Awareness with a special Spirit Week from March 30th to April 2nd. Join us by participating in our fun themed days!

Wednesday, April 1st: What’s Your Passion Wednesday

Thursday, April 2nd: Sensory Friendly Day

For Jack and Allie will be holding a Rummage Sale on Saturday, March 14th from 8:30 am to 2:00 pm. Donations are accepted March 9-13 from 9 am to 3 pm. All funds raised will be used to provide grants for children with special needs in the Lake County community. Please see the flyer attached for more information.

We could use your help!
1- Share- Help us spread the word on social media! See the attached flyers for more information.
2- Donate- If you have items you'd like to donate, such as clothes, toys, books, household goods, furniture, etc., that would be a huge help! Please bring them in the week of the sale- March 9-13th. If you have any big items, we may be able to arrange pick-up!

Kathie's Corner will meet on Friday, February 27th from 6 to 8 pm for GAME NIGHT! Come join the fun and fellowship. Bring a snack to share and invite a friend.

Kathie’s Corner is a monthly gathering where parents and caregivers can connect, share resources, and support each other. Raising a child, teenager, or young adult with special needs presents unique challenges, and it is helpful to be surrounded by people who truly understand.

The Tidal Wave Car Wash Coupons are back! Jack and Allie is doing another fundraiser with Tidal Wave (the car wash located on Hwy 50 next to the plaza that has Chili's, Steak n' Shake, Office Depot, Starbucks, and Chick-fil-a).

How it works:
Purchase a $10 car wash coupon; it is good for their $ 30-value car wash called "Graph x4". You can purchase as many as you would like- they're good for a year! This is hands down the best car wash I have been to- they have the best vacuums and air compressors to get in the nooks and crannies! Plus, they provide cloths and a cleaner!
