This morning, one of our local pilots was involved in an accident while flying his own powered aircraft. Thankfully, both the pilot and passenger are safe, one person is being treated for injuries. We wish him a speedy recovery!

We want to reassure everyone that our operations are safe and flight training has resumed as usual.

Thank you to everyone who has reached out and checked in.

Fly safe, stay safe, everyone. Tailwinds and blue skies! 💙

After days of intensive glider training and flying every day, both of our Japanese students soloed the glider 🇺🇸🇯🇵
And what better way to celebrate than jumping straight into the pool! 💦
Next up is passing the FAA written test, followed by the check ride.
Wishing them both good luck — keep learning, keep flying, and keep chasing those thermals! ☀️☁️

The mindset of a competitive glider pilot is every bit as important as talent and skill. A good competitor has to get comfortable with both winning and losing—staying humble when you win and not losing confidence when you don’t. Wins build belief, losses build resilience. You need to experience both in order to grow.

What really matters is learning from it, adjusting, staying forward-looking—and then going after the next thermal! ☁️🌤
