Business and Activism

Check out our newest blog post concerning Business and Activism. We mention our friends from GTO 2000 and Goizueta Business School as well as the Keynote Speaker from this year's Leadership Conference Scott Budnick. Tell us your thought on Business and Activism! “Business and Activism: Turning Profits Into Progress” was this year’s theme for Emory University’s business school leadership conference. For the past 5 years, Montara Farm has been invited to be a presenter at this conference, presenting team challenges and engaging students in activities that req...

The daffodils are out. Spring has sprung.

Congratulations to the Emory University Goizueta Business School for organizing a successful Leadership Conference this past weekend. Your theme of involvement and giving back to the community in business is refreshing. We are proud to have been a part of your program for the past five years. Keep inspiring young minds to strive for excellence. We'll see you next year!

Thank you so much to the young women of Agnes Scott College for your dedication to American values and free speech. I know you had to postpone your time here at Montara but we appreciate that it was for a good cause. See You soon!

Muchos gracias señora Kathy y sus amigos!

The Galloway School Rocks! We are so appreciative of your teaching philosophies and results. Perhaps you could lend a hand to our new Secretary of Education?

Hasta Pronto!

Congratulations InfoMart ! Your new initiatives and market reach are amazing. I think we've known you since your infancy. Kudos to Tammy and Amy for their drive and tenaciousness. You girls not only run with the big dogs but lead the pack!

Good luck this year and thank you Christine for all your great organization.

We hope you don't get too big for us!

Our friends from Merial are clearly enjoying the horses.

The first time we saw Humphrey, he was stealing a piece of chicken right off Old Tom's plate, and tearing away victorious into the woods. But as most dogs that find themselves at Montara do, he decided to stay. That was more than a decade ago. Back then, Hump earned his name in earnest, just ask Ryan's left leg.

Hump has always been his own man, stubborn and willfull. There wasn't a cage that could hold him. But you've never met a more loyal companion, which is why he couldn't be caged. He just wanted to be with you all the time. That was his job, and what made him happy.

Everyone who visited Montara remembers Humphrey. He was our welcoming committee, and a vital member of the team, offering stress relief through pets and love.

We had more than ten amazing years with Hump. The best companions choose us, not the other way around, and bring such joy to our lives. And I'm confident that we provided him with a great life.

Humpy was special, and I couldn't think of a more spiritual, meaningful, and peaceful place for him to rest then at the center of our labyrinth.

Our wonderful group from The Nature Conservancy left us this thank you note after their stay 😁

We heard from Ryan Cochrane today, one of our friends from the Canadian National Canoe Kayak Team who stayed here during the Pan Am Games. He and his partner Hugues Fournel will be competing in the Rio on August 17 and 18. Good luck to you guys and all of our friends form the Canadian National Canoe Kayak team competing in Rio! You can watch their live stream on the website:

When you're here at Montara, sometimes art will fly up and hang out on the porch with you.

Canadians Rock!

During their time at Montara, while competing in the in Gainesville Georgia, the Canadian National Canoe Kayak team inspired us and demonstrated the true characteristics of a high performing team.

Their hard-work, integrity, professionalism, and compassion for each other was beyond anything we have see in a team.

Gracious in their many medal wins, and equaly gracious in their narrow losses, they embody the true spirit of sport and oof the Olympic Games.

Bon Chance Au Rio!

Merci, Canoe Kayak Canada Merci
