Introducing Junior Naturalists!

Junior Naturalists is an 8 week outdoor enrichment class for ages 6–11 designed for curious kids who love to explore. Each week we’ll dive into a new Florida nature topic while learning the skills real naturalists use to observe, identify, investigate, and care for the world around them.

Throughout the session, students will:
• Learn about Florida’s unique ecosystems and wildlife
• Practice observation and nature journaling
• Meet animal experts and interact with live animals
• Build field skills like tracking, identifying, and recording discoveries
• Complete science activities, experiments, and nature based projects

Each lesson builds on the last, helping children grow their knowledge and confidence as young naturalists while developing a lifelong appreciation for Florida’s incredible natural world.

Whether your child already loves being outside or you’re hoping to spark that curiosity, this class is designed to inspire wonder, encourage stewardship, and make learning an adventure.

Welcome to Little Sprouts!

Our newest parent & child nature class is designed especially for our youngest explorers, ages 0–3 years.

Little Sprouts is all about helping children build a love for the natural world from the very beginning. Each week we’ll explore a new nature inspired theme through sensory play, songs, movement, simple crafts, stories, and outdoor exploration. Every activity is designed to encourage curiosity while creating meaningful moments for you and your child to enjoy together.

We believe that children protect what they know and love. By introducing nature in these early years, we’re planting the seeds for a generation that cares for the earth, values the outdoors, and feels connected to the world around them.

We’re excited to introduce the next chapter of Gather & Grow Nature School!

As Gather & Grow continues to grow, so do our offerings. If you’ve been looking for a nature based program that fits your child’s stage of development, we now have classes designed for multiple age groups.

🌱 Little Sprouts is our parent-and-child class for babies, toddlers, and preschoolers, where little learners explore the outdoors through songs, sensory play, stories, and simple nature activities.

🦋 Junior Naturalists is a weekly enrichment class for elementary-aged children, combining exploration with lessons about Florida’s wildlife, ecosystems, conservation, and outdoor skills.

🍃 Gather & Grow Co-op brings homeschool families together in a parent-led learning community where children experience academics, nature, creative arts, and life skills while building lasting friendships.

We’re also proud to share that our new website is now live, making it easier than ever to learn about each program, view schedules, and enroll.

Our mission has always been simple: to help children build a meaningful connection with the natural world through learning, curiosity, and community. We’re so excited to welcome new families as we continue to grow together.

This Friday at Gather & Grow Nature School we’re diving into the world of manatees!

Children will learn about these gentle giants, discover why Florida’s springs and waterways are so important to their survival, and become official Manatee Protectors as we explore simple ways we can help protect their habitat.

Our first summer session at Gather & Grow Nature School starts this Friday, and I am SO excited for this theme — The Wonder of Florida Waters!

This session is designed for preschool and early elementary children to explore Florida springs, lakes, wetlands, and oceans. We’ll be learning about conservation, meeting local wildlife, conducting real experiments, and helping children build a genuine connection to the natural world around them.

Every child will receive their own explorer materials, nature journal, snacks, and more as we spend our Fridays learning together outdoors at Lake Louisa. ☀️

We’re so excited for tomorrow at Gather & Grow 🌻

Our class will be all about the life cycle of a sunflower! We’ll be planting our own sunflowers, decorating pots, learning how to care for them, and exploring what sunflowers look like in every stage of life, from seed to bloom. It’s going to be a sweet morning full of learning, creativity, and a little bit of dirt 💛
