The Women of DPA ☕🐅

There’s more to DPA than what happens in the classroom.

Today, recent DPA graduates met with incoming first-year students at The Orange Spot in Park Circle, North Charleston, to welcome them to the DPA community. Over coffee, they shared plenty of laughs, stories, advice, and their own experiences making their way through the program.

It was a chance for the next generation of DPA artists and storytellers to hear from those who have already walked the path—and to discover that they’re joining a creative community that extends well beyond the classroom.

We’re excited to see what this new generation creates in Charleston!

Congratulations to former Clemson Digital Production Arts minor and incoming DPA graduate student Ariana Lane!

Ariana's experimental stop-motion short film, The Boy and the Fox, continues to receive recognition for its artistry and storytelling, earning the Innovative Vision Award at the Atlanta Micro Short Film Festival and Best Animated Short at the Alpine International Film Festival.

Created entirely through handcrafted stop-motion animation, The Boy and the Fox follows a young boy's journey through a mysterious, snow-covered forest. Every set piece, puppet, costume, and snowy landscape was meticulously built by hand, reflecting Ariana's creativity, technical skill, and attention to detail.

We're proud to celebrate Ariana's achievements and look forward to seeing what she'll create next as she begins graduate studies in Clemson's Digital Production Arts program. Her success is a wonderful reminder of what Clemson DPA students can accomplish when they share their work beyond the classroom.

Congratulations to former Clemson Digital Production Arts minor and incoming DPA graduate student Ariana Lane!

Ariana's experimental stop-motion short film, The Boy and the Fox, continues to receive recognition on the festival circuit. The film was selected for the Atlanta Micro Short Film Festival and earned Best Animated Short at the Alpine International Film Festival.

The film follows a young boy's journey through a mysterious, snow-covered forest, with every asset meticulously handcrafted—from the cotton-ball snow to the puppet's custom-designed costume. Ariana's attention to detail and creative storytelling shine through every frame.

We're proud to celebrate Ariana's achievements and can't wait to see what she creates next as she continues her journey in Clemson's Digital Production Arts graduate program.
