Big Man on Campus 2023 ๐
We are beyond thrilled to announce that our "Big Man on Campus" initiative at Clemson University has just made history! With immense pride, we're excited to share that we've raised $143,729.25 for breast cancer education and awareness. This is the highest amount ever achieved by a Greek organization on Clemson's campus, and it's all thanks to the dedication, hard work, and incredible support from our community.
With 32 remarkable contestants representing various organizations across campus, the entire month of October was buzzing with our fundraising activities, including proceeds nights, sexy legs tabling, zing a zeta tabling, and so much more!
Thank you to our amazing Director of Philanthropy, Grace Boone, and our outstanding Directors of Big Man on Campus, Paige Scheidemann and Mary Miller Kaelin. Your unwavering commitment and tireless efforts were the driving force behind this success.
But let's not forget the real stars of the show โ our contestants! Your enthusiasm and dedication to the cause shone brightly throughout the campaign. Thank you for being the champions we needed.
And a heartfelt thank you to the National ZTA Foundation Vice President of Collegiate Development, Carla Cobb, for traveling to Clemson to show her support and share the Zeta love. ๐ซถ๐ผ
In the spirit of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, we'd also like to pay a special tribute to Kathryn Griffith, our beloved Clemson ZTA alumna from the Class of 2012. Kathryn is currently battling stage 2, grade 3 triple-negative breast cancer. This Breast Cancer Awareness Month, we raised funds in her name through Big Man on Campus, dedicated to supporting her and others like her in their fight against breast cancer.
This accomplishment is a testament to the incredible power of community, unity, and boundless compassion. Together, we've proven that when we come together for a cause we're passionate about, we can make a tremendous impact.
