🐄🐑 No beef here… just an udderly awesome week at Vet Camp. 🩺✨

Our future veterinarians have been getting hands-on with animal anatomy and physiology, meeting sheep, dairy cows, and beef cattle, and exploring Clemson’s working farms along the way.

Safe to say this class has been moo-ving in the right direction toward the finish line this week, sharing so many incredible opportunities and experiences with our campers!

As an extension of the Summer Scholars program, the Summer Program for Research Interns (SPRI) gives talented, motivated high school students the opportunity to dive into meaningful research alongside Clemson faculty and mentors.

These students continue to impress us with their curiosity, dedication, and willingness to challenge themselves. It has been a privilege to watch them grow, contribute to exciting research, and become part of the Clemson community this summer.

We’re incredibly grateful for our partnership with the Clemson University Honors College and the South Carolina Governor’s School for Science & Mathematics in making this experience possible. Together, we’re helping inspire the next generation of researchers, innovators, and leaders.

Congratulations to all of our SPRI students on an outstanding summer, we can’t wait to see what you accomplish next!

✨ Plot twist: We’re not ready for summer to end.

But we are ready to welcome our amazing Session 6 scholars for one final week of discovery, friendship, and Clemson memories. 🧡🐅

This week is extra special as we also welcome our South Korean exchange students to campus! We’re so excited to share Clemson with them as they experience our university, and the United States, for the first time. We can’t wait to learn from one another and show them the very best of our campus and community.

Here’s to one final week of new experiences, new friendships, and unforgettable memories. Let’s make it the best one yet! ☀️

Our SNAP campers spend the week building skills, exploring healthcare careers, and learning from some of the very best. We look forward to this class every summer, and we’re so thankful for a the hands on learning experiences and skills the campers walk away!

Just kidding, we’re ABSOLUTELY going to tell you.

This week, our scholars explored how technology and nature can work together by:
🌿 Building immersive virtual reality experiences and creating their own virtual tours around the Clemson University campus
🐦 Building and programming Raspberry P*s to collect birdsong data in the field
💡 Discovering how emerging technology can support research and human-nature-technology relationships

🌲✨ Touching grass… professionally.

Our Basecamp Clemson scholars spent the week exploring the outdoors, learning Leave No Trace principles, practicing backpacking skills, discovering the many careers in Parks, Recreation, and Tourism Management, and making the mountains, lakes, and waterfalls around Clemson their classroom. 🥾⛰️

Safe to say they understood the assignment!
