It’s the start of a new school year, which means it’s time to set classroom expectations!

In my preschool/early elementary Kindermusik classes, I start out with one minute of explaining these rules inspired by KidSpring curriculum and find that most behavior is addressed in two categories:
1. Be Kind
2. Be Safe
And if students can follow these rules, we get to rule number 3, have fun!! 🤩

🎻 Make plans now for the SC Old-Time Fiddler’s Convention at Hagood Mill Historic Site, September 18–19, 2026!

This two-day celebration of Appalachian music and heritage includes the official SC State Fiddling Championship, live concerts, camping, open jams, food, artisan vendors, living-history demonstrations, and the historic water-powered gristmill in operation on Saturday.

Friday evening features Blindhouse and the Blue Wall Ramblers. Competition begins Saturday at 9:00 a.m., with youth and adult divisions in fiddle, guitar, banjo, open, and old-time string band categories. Saturday night, enjoy George Jackson with Tall Poppy String Band and the Blue Ridge Rounders.

We are excited to welcome Mrs. Lydia Price to the TMS Teaching Team! 🎹🤩🙌
Mrs. Lydia has been playing piano since she was four years old. Classically trained, she is skilled in reading sheet music and chord charts, and playing by ear. She and her husband actively serve on the worship team at Foothills Church. Their two boys have been TMS students for almost four years. Mrs. Lydia is thrilled to join the Trudel Music Studio team and pass along her deep passion for music and piano to her students!
