UPIC student Emma Buell enjoyed her Fourth of July in Charleston, SC. She spent the weekend exploring Charleston and all of its great food offerings and playing golf and pickle ball!

A glimpse at PhD candidate, Steven Edalgo’s, summer so far😎

1.) Started the Summer by attending a Japanese Culture Festival in Travelers Rest, SC and began learning how to transcribe in Kanji.

2.) Steven presented at the Mentoring 360 Convening by Arizona State University in Downtown Tempe, AZ. This was his view from the hotel room.

3.) He is constantly working on planned landscaping projects with his wife, Yen ,and their Golden Retriever, Baymax!

Randi is an assistant SCUBA instructor with Upstate SCUBA so when she's not working on her RA or hanging with the High research group, you can likely find her at the dive shop or in the water!!

2) Jenny’s cat, Rhys, that she has to unpack from her carry-on every time she travels 😂
3) Hiking during a weekend vacation to Tennessee to see Weird Al Yankovic host a concert in the local Caverns ("The Unfortunate Return of the Ridiculously Self-Indulgent, Ill-Advised Vanity Tour”)

Congratulations to one of our amazing UPIC students, Kendall Sims. Kendall graduated from Clemson in May, and we are so excited to see all of the great things she will accomplish.
