Edna Harding was a light and an inspiration to many of the families who grew up at Clemmons Moravian Church Preschool. During her tenure, starting as a teacher’s aide then moved to a teacher and ultimately the director of CMCP, her light shown through every interaction she had in her career. Her love for reading and children really radiated during her numerous circle times, as books and literacy were definitely a passion for her. The 25 years she served as a director of CMCP were led with a leader who was kind, compassionate, and above all wanted the best for all the children and teachers that were in her charge. Maya Angelou is quoted as saying: “At the end of the day people won't remember what you said or did, they will remember how you made them feel.” Ms. Edna definitely made everyone her spirit touched feel important, valued, and above all else loved. CMCP will always remember Ms. Edna in their hearts and soul. Much love for such an incredible soul and may every butterfly that lands in her garden be a reminder of that love here at “the butterfly school.”

The funeral service will be held at Clemmons Moravian Church on Saturday, May 27, 2023, at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Christopher C. Thore officiating.
