The more you know!

Children aren't empty vessels to be filled with charts, numbers, letters, shapes, colors, vocabulary words, skills, themes, and commands.

Children are people that are innately filled with unique personalities, interests, likes, dislikes, curiosity, creativity, imagination, and wonder.

Yes, children can learn at an accelerated rate as brain growth is the most profound in the first five years. But learning comes from the brain's ability (and opportunities) to make connections. Connections happen through touching, tasting, seeing, smelling, hearing, talking, moving, playing, exploring, etc.

Children know this and instinctually pursue these experiences, but adults simply keep getting in their way.

If we view children as the "expert learners," then trust in their process. All they need is your love, guidance, presence, patience, and respect along the way.

Social skills ✨
Regulating their emotions ✨
Independence ✨
Resilience ✨
Communication skills ✨

We encourage these skills by creating home corners at our settings filled with everyday authentic items that children would find at home ❣️ these areas see beautiful conversations and friendships blossom ❣️

Grateful to share moments of learning and growth indoors and out! Narrow Path provides a heavenly balance of nature based learning with a child led experience. We are Reggio, Montessori, Waldorf inspired with enrichment classes within the week. Take a peek inside our classroom and a glimpse into our outdoor learning area. 🌳
