With a new student, I teach the Elements of Art: Line, Shape, Color, Texture, Value & Design. Next, this young artist endeavors to draw an image upside down. 🙃 This helps the brain to zero in on the elements of line and shape instead of the overall image. It’s ALWAYS fascinating!

So great to work with these young artists to see their creativity. The way they jump right in, no fear, is always an inspiration! This summer’s camps were special. 🥰

In Art Camp today, the process of creating a self portrait had phases and stages. Since Mrs. Benke is still recovering from a broken patella, she has two teenagers giving help where needed. Closing the day, the creativity carried to my driveway where each artist is imagining themselves in a unique setting!
