With a new student, I teach the Elements of Art: Line, Shape, Color, Texture, Value & Design. Next, this young artist endeavors to draw an image upside down. 🙃 This helps the brain to zero in on the elements of line and shape instead of the overall image. It’s ALWAYS fascinating!

These artists learned about Wassily Kandinsky and his abstract paintings and tried their hand at it by using lines, shapes and watercolors! They were deeply engaged in making.❤️

The parents came to collect their young artists today and viewed all their paintings! It was a great week! So grateful for my students - they are wonderful!

Mrs. Benkes Campers created Still Life Paintings today! So, landscapes, self portraits, abstracts, thing of nature painting and now still life paintings have been completed. These young artists did a lovely job. It was beautiful to see them engaged and creating.

She desired to create cherries!🍒. Using Watercolors, Colored Pencils & Crayons, she set her hand to it! Aren’t they so happy? Made me want cherry pie! Happy Summer!

In Art Camp today, the process of creating a self portrait had phases and stages. Since Mrs. Benke is still recovering from a broken patella, she has two teenagers giving help where needed. Closing the day, the creativity carried to my driveway where each artist is imagining themselves in a unique setting!
