Father,
On this night before school begins, we place before You all that has been prepared and everything still beyond our control. Quiet anxious minds, settle excited hearts, and grant deep rest to every student, parent, teacher, and staff member.
Go before our children tomorrow. Help them enter with courage, find kindness waiting for them, and remember that they are deeply loved by You. Give wisdom to those who teach and patience to those who serve. Let our classrooms be places where truth is pursued, grace is practiced, and each person knows they belong.
Protect our campus and guide every decision made within it. When plans falter, make us flexible. When someone feels unseen, help us notice. May our words reflect Christ and our work honor Him.
As the psalmist prayed, “Establish the work of our hands.” Take the labor already offered and use it for purposes greater than we can see.
We entrust this school year to You with hope.
In Jesus’ name, amen.
