⚡ The 𝑷𝒍𝒂𝒛𝒂 𝑱𝒓 𝑺𝑯𝑶𝑾 𝑺𝑻𝑼𝑫𝑰𝑶 has opened up Auditions for its special 𝐒𝐡𝐨𝐰 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐯𝐞 Pilot Production of 𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐧𝐞𝐲'𝐬 𝐇𝐄𝐑𝐂𝐔𝐋𝐄𝐒 𝐉𝐑! - Audition submissions are due by midnight on July 1st.

𝑷𝒍𝒂𝒛𝒂 𝑱𝒓 𝑺𝑯𝑶𝑾 𝑺𝑻𝑼𝑫𝑰𝑶 is an innovative program designed to enhance the skills of young aspiring musical theatre performers. Our year-round 𝐒𝐡𝐨𝐰 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐯𝐞'𝐬 provide a dynamic learning environment, where students can immerse themselves in the world of musical theatre through various disciplines such as acting, singing, and dancing.

𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐧𝐞𝐲'𝐬 𝐇𝐄𝐑𝐂𝐔𝐋𝐄𝐒 𝐉𝐑 is a special Pilot Production and will play 8 performances from August 22nd to September 5th at Plaza's Main Street Theatre while the 𝐒𝐡𝐨𝐰 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐯𝐞 workshops begin July 27th and run throgh August 22nd.

𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐧𝐞𝐲'𝐬 𝐇𝐄𝐑𝐂𝐔𝐋𝐄𝐒 𝐉𝐑 is a high-energy stage adaptation of the 1997 animated film. The story follows Hercules as he discovers his demigod heritage, battles the villainous Hades, and finds love with Megara. This lively production features witty, updated dialogue, vibrant sets, stunning costumes, and a dynamic score by Alan Menken, including fan-favorite songs such as "Go the Distance," "A Star Is Born," "The Gospel Truth," and "Zero to Hero."

The show is being directed by Tina Barrus and Tabitha Ibarra with assistance from Garrett Hollowell, choreography by Eden Barrus and Miranda Barrus, musical direction by Tabitha Ibarra, assistant musical direction by Kaylee Cordell, and stage management by Crystal Minnick.

Each 𝐒𝐡𝐨𝐰 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐯𝐞 carries a Tuition of $250 with a 35$ costume fee. Students who are ages 8 to 15 are eligible to audition for this exciting and uplifting program. If selected and cast, students will participate in a comprehensive eight-class rehearsal process, which will culminate in a six-show run that will take place over the course of three weekends.

💚 Our YOUTH SUMMER CAMP SHOW is in full swing at Plaza Academy as we're preparing to open 𝑺𝑯𝑹𝑬𝑲 𝑱𝑹 next Friday night. The show will play at Plaza's Main Street Theatre from June 19th thru June 27th. The production features performances from over 90 student artists and we're absolutely thrilled to be offering this exciting Jr production based on the beloved animated movie and Broadway hit of the same name.

Once upon a time, in a far away swamp, there lived an ogre named Shrek. One day, Shrek finds his swamp invaded by banished fairytale misfits who have been cast off by Lord Farquaad, a tiny terror with big ambitions. When Shrek sets off with a wisecracking donkey to confront Farquaad, he's handed a task - if he rescues feisty princess Fiona, his swamp will be righted. Shrek tries to win Fiona’s love and vanquish Lord Farquaad, but a fairytale wouldn't be complete without a few twists and turns along the way.

🎤🎶 Plaza Academy's 𝗣𝗥𝗜𝗩𝗔𝗧𝗘 𝗟𝗘𝗦𝗦𝗢𝗡𝗦 𝗥𝗘𝗖𝗜𝗧𝗔𝗟𝗦 are tonight, tomorrow, and Wednesday - May 25th thru 27th. These Private Lessons Recitals are from the Spring Semester at Plaza Academy for Voice, Acting, Dance, and Drum Students. The Recitals will take place at Plaza's Dudley Hall location (305 S. Anglin Street) on May 25th, 26th, and 27th at 7pm. Admission is free so come support these incredibly gifted student artists.

🎂 Last night was a great celebration of Plaza Jr's first full year of shows at Plaza Main Street. The auspicious occasion was marked with a very special Thank You Party just for the student artists of Plaza Jr. as well as all of the staff, production team and crew members who made it such an amazing first season.
