Our Educational Opportunity Center in Dallas County is excited to partner with the West Dallas Multipurpose Center to bring higher education resources directly to the community. Now through August, our team will be available on the third Tuesday of each month from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. to assist individuals interested in pursuing college, career training, and other educational opportunities.
Whether you're exploring your options, planning for college, or looking for guidance on the next steps in your educational journey, we're here to help. We look forward to connecting with members of the West Dallas community and supporting their goals for higher education and beyond.

Sisters, Saray and Maria, came to ORS for assistance with financial aid and scholarships. Saray is all set to begin her first year of college at Weatherford College where she will study business and Maria will continue her education at Southwestern Adventist University! 📚️

Our Educational Opportunity Center in Dallas County was excited to participate in the Bridges to Higher Education: Dallas College Community Day on May 30, 2026. Our College Access Coordinator, Dejah, connected with attendees as they explored information sessions and hands-on workshops designed to help students begin their journey at Dallas College.
This event provided valuable opportunities to meet instructors, discover academic and career pathways, and receive guidance for college and beyond. We are proud to support students as they take the next steps toward achieving their educational goals.

Our Educational Opportunity Center in Dallas County attended the Education Reach for Texans Conference at Dallas College's Bill J. Priest Center. This conference brought together organizations dedicated to promoting a culture of care for Texans with foster care experience as they pursue post-secondary education. 🎓️✨️
As one of a select group of resource organizations invited to participate, our team shared information about educational opportunities, college planning, and support services available to help students achieve their academic and career goals. We are proud to support initiatives that improve outcomes and expand access to higher education for students with foster care experience.

Our ORS Upward Bound team had the honor of attending Senior Awards Nights at Venus High School and Alvarado High School, where we proudly presented graduation cards and cords and recognized the hard work, dedication, and achievements of our seniors.
