Thank you to Sunshine Car Wash and to everyone who supported our PE fundraiser! Because of your participation, we were able to purchase tons of new sports balls, soccer nets, jump ropes, and a scoreboard for our students! ⚽️🏀🏐🏈⚾️🥅⛹️

And the best part... testing everything out! The kids and teachers worked together to assemble the new soccer nets and the kids got into action! ❤️

We couldn’t have done it without our amazing school community! Thank you. 😘

STUDENT SUCCESS!

“My favorite teacher is Ms. Gabby! I also like KiwiCo – you might not know what those are but they’re like fun puzzles and toys. I’m really close to starting Algebra now. I’m almost done with my Decimals 4. Math is hard for me but I’m still getting through really fast and I’m really understanding it. There are fake bank accounts in my math assignments. I’m also learning how to write checks (like putting who you’re writing the check to and how much it’s for) and I’m learning how bank accounts work. Math is my favorite subject now!” - A. Fun upgrade for the 2nd/3rd Grade classroom! Executive Director, Jen Nickerson, filled the room with new comfortable chairs! The students wrote thank-you cards to Mrs. Jen to show their appreciation for their new, blue, kid-sized chairs! 💙🧡

Our incredible Nancy Romero completed her full training program & is now fully & standardly hatted as the Testing & Correction In-Charge! These study programs, under the supervision of David Hamilton, our Director of Qualifications, can take months to complete, as they cover theory, practical & an apprenticeship for those in a tech position. Congratulations & well done, Mrs. Nancy! 🩷🩷🩷

STUDENT SUCCESS!
“It was my birthday this week! I got a new Meemeow squishy and a stuffie is coming as well. School was harder last year but it’s a lot easier this year because I’m used to it now. My favorite subjects are reading (I really like book reports, writing stories and doing vocab) and free time and Chess Club and Aftercare!

“But the best thing about school is my teachers and my friends. I’ve learned how to spell stuff and how to read much better and I’ve learned all about idioms like ‘piece of cake’ means it’s easy and ‘costs an arm and a leg’ means it’s expensive. I’m learning how to write cursive and I’m getting good at it. Reading cursive is harder but I’m working on it.

CLC Academy is proud to announce our new parent portal, PRISM.
PRISM is a platform that our parents can use to see their student's overall academic progress, attendance, courses, and individual course progress.

Eventually, PRISM will also include features such as parent resources, information about upcoming field trips, and the ability to send messages to the school.

We are very excited about this tech upgrade! 💙🧡
