Enzo has been part of our SHMA family since he was just a toddler, attending our school all the way through 8th grade. We are so proud of the young man and incredible athlete he has become. We are even more grateful that he continues to come back to visit our school and to invest in our students whenever possible.

🐾 Look how much Tucker has grown! 🐾

It’s hard to believe that our sweet Tucker has been part of the Safety Harbor Montessori Academy community for almost a year! ❤️

Tucker is now 14 months old and 75 pounds! Seeing this side-by-side comparison of him as a little puppy and the handsome young dog he is today is pretty amazing!

Over the past year, our middle schoolers have had the incredible opportunity to help raise Tucker, thanks to Ms. Laura Marie Enderle, her family, and the Buckenham family. Together, we’ve watched him learn, grow, socialize, gain confidence, and meet all of his important benchmarks.

This has been such a special experience for our students. Along the way, they’ve learned the importance of patience, consistency, responsibility, and compassion, while helping give Tucker the love, care, and foundation he needs to one day change someone’s life.

On October 24th, Tucker will return to Dogs Inc. for the next chapter of his journey...Puppy College! 🎓🐾

At Dogs Inc., Tucker will continue his training. If he successfully completes his training, he could be matched with someone who needs a service dog to provide greater independence and support with important everyday tasks. Just imagine, this goofy, lovable puppy that our students have helped raise could eventually become someone’s life-changing partner.

We are so proud of Tucker and of all the students, families, and teachers who have loved and cared for him along the way.

We’re going to miss having him around, but we are SO excited to watch his journey continue!

We’re Hiring! Join the Safety Harbor Montessori Academy Team!

Safety Harbor Montessori Academy is looking for a caring, energetic team member to help lead our Extended Care Program.

Hours:
Monday–Friday

• 7:30–9:30 a.m.

• 2:30–5:45 p.m.

Ideally, we’re looking for someone who can work both shifts each day.

Seeking someone who enjoys working with children, is creative, and loves to engage with kids through games, science experiments, art projects, outdoor play, and other fun activities. Our Extended Care Program serves children from age 2 through middle school, so we need staff who are comfortable working with a variety of ages.

At times, this position may also include helping in classrooms to maintain ratios or serving as a substitute when needed.

Qualifications:

At least 18 years old

High school diploma

Eligible to pass a Florida Clearinghouse background screening
