A Full Circle Moment for Evara Health and Evara Health Institute

We are excited to announce the expansion of Evara Health Institute with the opening of our new South County Campus at the Johnnie Ruth Clarke Center in St. Petersburg.

This historic location, formerly Mercy Hospital, has long served as a place of healing for the community. Now, it will also serve as a place of learning, preparing the next generation of healthcare professionals right where Dr. Johnnie Ruth Clarke's vision for access, opportunity, and community impact took root.
"Opening our South County Campus at the Johnnie Ruth Clarke Center is a powerful full-circle moment," said Rebecca Sarlo, Ph.D. "As we expand to healthcare education and workforce training, we are honoring Dr. Clarke's legacy by investing in the people and communities she was so passionate about serving."

As we grow our footprint and introduce new programs, we are proud to continue building on Dr. Clarke's vision and strengthening the future of healthcare in our community.

🌟 Future Healthcare Career Showcase 🌟

Evara Health Institute is proud to celebrate our Summer Program Pre-Apprentices! Over the past 7 weeks, students gained valuable career development skills, hands-on healthcare training, and firsthand insight from industry professionals.

For their final project, students created vision boards highlighting their future healthcare careers and the path to achieving their goals. They then showcased their work in an art gallery-style presentation for family and friends.

We are proud of their hard work, dedication, and bright futures ahead! 💙👏

🎓 Pre-Apprenticeship Summer Program Spotlight!

This week, students participated in two impactful days on campus focused on career development and exploration. Activities included building strong first impressions, strengthening professionalism, and practicing interview skills.

This week, we’re also highlighting our Limited Scope Radiography program, giving a glimpse into what students are learning and experiencing along the way. From building foundational technical skills to exploring real-world radiology practices, participants get a hands-on introduction to the field.

Even better, they’re learning directly from our current Limited Scope students, gaining valuable insight and peer mentorship along the journey. 🩻

Behavioral Health Week is underway at Evara Health Institute’s Pre-Apprenticeship Summer Program! 🧠✨

This week, students are exploring career pathways in Behavioral Health through hands-on learning, career planning workshops, and industry engagement.

During Day 1, students learned about the many opportunities available within the behavioral health field and had the opportunity to hear from two inspiring guest speakers:

🔹 Dr. Sarlo, who shared her educational and professional journey in psychology, education, and behavioral health.

🔹 Desiree Baker, M.S., who discussed her background in forensic psychology and her role as a Juvenile Probation Officer, providing valuable insight into careers supporting youth and the justice system.

We are excited to help students discover their passions, explore career options, and connect with professionals making a difference in their communities. We look forward to another impactful day of learning and clinical skills training on campus!
