PPEA is bringing homeschool high schoolers together for A Night Under the Big Top — a glamorous, high-energy Homecoming inspired by the theatrical magic and excitement of The Greatest Showman! 🎩✨

Grab your friends, dress up, and get ready for an unforgettable night of music, dancing, photos, food, and FUN!

🐝 Would your homeschooler participate in a Scripps Spelling Bee?

We’ve heard from some of our families who would love to see a spelling bee opportunity for local homeschool students, so PPEA is exploring the possibility of registering to host an official Scripps National Spelling Bee qualifying competition!

If we move forward, eligible homeschool students would compete locally through PPEA, with our champion having the opportunity to advance through the official Scripps competition pathway.

The Scripps National Spelling Bee is open to eligible students through 8th grade who have not reached their 15th birthday on or before August 31 of the competition year. Final participation would be subject to Scripps’ official eligibility requirements.
Before we move forward, we want to hear from YOU!

We only want to add opportunities that our homeschool community is genuinely interested in and excited about.

Let's celebrate the end of summer together!

As the summer season winds down and many homeschool families begin gearing up for a new year, join us for a relaxing morning at the beach. Whether you're a longtime homeschool family, brand new to homeschooling, a PPEA member, or just looking to connect with other local homeschoolers, everyone is welcome! You do not need to be a member to join us!

Bring your beach chairs, umbrella or shade tent, beach toys, water, and your favorite snacks. Spend the morning enjoying the sunshine while the kids play, friendships grow, and families connect. It's the perfect opportunity to meet new friends, catch up with familiar faces, and make one last summer memory together.

Don't forget to bring:

Looking for a fun way to connect with other homeschool families? Come join us for an afternoon of outdoor games, conversation, and new friendships! Whether you're brand new to homeschooling or have been doing it for years, we'd love to meet you.

We will provide soccer balls, footballs and frisbees but feel free to bring your favorite sports equipment or anything else you'd like to play with! The older kids can enjoy the open field while younger siblings have fun on the nearby playground.
