🚴‍♂️ Happy World Bike Day!

Today we’re celebrating one of our own: Elijah Jenkins, a Lakeside Lion who will be entering high school this fall.

Last summer, Elijah watched the Tour de France and decided to try cycling for himself.

Fast forward one year…

Earlier this year, he competed in the Gran Fondo 60-mile race in Dade City, earning 1st place in his age group and 18th place overall.

We love highlighting the ways our students grow, pursue interests, and challenge themselves both inside and outside the classroom.

Our annual Grad Venture trip was another great way to celebrate the end of the 2025-2026 school year for our 6th and 8th graders!

In May, students headed to Adventure Island to celebrate finishing an important chapter and preparing for what’s next. From water slides and laughter to making memories with classmates, this tradition is always a fun way to recognize growth, accomplishment, and the transition into new seasons.

Thank you to our teaching staff, chapel crew, and Youth Pastor Spencer King for coming along and helping make the day special.

We’re proud of our 6th and 8th grade students and excited to see what’s ahead for them! 🦁

Our 4th grade science students spent part of this spring learning all about monarch butterflies and their amazing life cycle. 🦋

From caterpillar to chrysalis to butterfly, students were able to observe the process up close, and even hold monarch butterflies in their classroom.

Experiences like this help bring science to life and spark curiosity, wonder, and hands-on learning in meaningful ways.

As summer begins, we’re grateful for another year filled with discovery in our elementary classrooms. And as we look ahead to fall, elementary enrollment continues. As another wonderful school year comes to a close, we want to wish all of our Lakeside students and families a fun, restful, and joy-filled summer.

Thank you for a year full of learning, growth, friendships, milestones, traditions, athletics, performances, field trips, chapel moments, and memories that made this school year special.

We pray our students enjoy every minute of summer break, and we look forward to welcoming everyone back for the first day of school on Monday, August 10!

Our yearbook team enjoyed attending Education Day at BayCare Ballpark last month.

It was a fun opportunity to celebrate the students who spend so much time behind the scenes documenting school memories, designing pages, taking photos, and helping tell the story of our school year.
