4 Worst Hiking Tragedies In Kilimanjaro History 09/12/2024

The best description of climbing Mt.Kilimanjaro. General perception is that Kili is easy. Nothing further from the truth as narrator said : "The final push in the Artic world ,it is almost stepping on an another planet."Almost nothing lives up here in the icy world. The ground sparkles with frost and wind cuts sharp and cold. It's here that altitude hits the hardest with the air so thin, you surviving on the half the oxygen you need. The final stretch to Uhuru peak is the most grueling. Climbers push through the thin air through the fatigue to make it to the top. But those who make it to the top experience sunrise like no other (Sun coming over Mawenzi is something I will never forget, easily the best sight I ever seen in my life). At the top of one of the highest places on Earth the World stretches out in all directions, breathing reward for those who dare to conquer Mt.Kilimanjaro. Is it worth it? Well only those who summit Mt.Kilimanjaro can answer that... " I can answer that! The most definitely yes!!! I Don't know if I can say it more emphatically than this. But not all people have that experience as the main character in this video , south African racing star sadly parished . It is entirely different planet altogether up there, especially above 5500 meters . You don't really read about enormous risks that accompany you when you go that high. I witnessed so many people getting in serious trouble with altitude sickness up there. If you want to try to climb Kili or any mountain of that altitude, you have to know what you getting yourself into and accept the enormous risk of possibility that you may get in serious trouble. That's all. I am very proud of my friend expedition leaders Elia and P.K.Sherpa and our Kili team, we done it as a team. I know when we were at the famous Stella point ( which personally meant a world to me )one of the three summits of Kilimanjaro, we haven't talk about it but making it to Stella Point is achievement and those who are able to can go to the main summit of Uhuru Peak they can proceed. Since my teammates were taking break ,I assume that they may not want to go to the main summit since some were having issues needing to throw up and p**p due to altitude. I thought they were done .Sure as hell I wasn't done. Here comes PK Sherpa wondering why we're not moving onto the Uhuru peak. He asked me let's make a run to the summit ,I said hell yes, let's go. We started hard pace only to hear voices from our teammates; Where the hell two of you going? I think we ticked them off and they were getting up to make a run. P.K. and I looked at each othe and he kinda took his camera as if was just getting up lil higher to take a pictures.🤣. Nice move P.K. And we went on to the summit and what a day that was on the morning of the 26th of February 2024. The summit of this iconic ,legendary stratovolcano that soars at extreme elevation where the life of a human being or any animals can not be sustained. Easily the greatest highlight of my life. And they ask me was it worth it?

Mt Ararat Descending summit to C2 raw video 08/02/2024

ARARAT-PART 2. Descending the mountain from the summit to high camp 2 through very dangerous terrain. I never felt so powerless, the mountain made me feel naked, I felt not in control of about anything up there. Every step I made was not sure-footed , you expected to slide. Even bigger rocks were very unstable.
It was long way down 2000 vertical meters but We did it slowly ,even with that we were constantly sliding. You have to have 200% concentration up there. You never see this extensive video of that part of the route and with good reason. You can't have your hand tied up holding camera or phone and moving down. I was able to do it with my gopro camera attached to my shoulder strap.
I wanted to record this part so future climbers will have an idea what to expect. Climbing up throughout the night, you don't see as good but when you descending, now that it is another ballgame . Proud of my team, we did baby!💪🧗‍♂️

Listening presentation of the two pioneers and legends of alpinism in Bosnia and Herzegovina Muhamed Šišić i Muhamed Džafić. They did several firsts in history ,true cowboys in 70s and 80s when alpinism was the purest. They were members of historic Yugoslavia Everest 1979 expedition which achieved one of the best ever climbs in history, Everest Western ridge route a.k.a. Yugoslavia route now . That route was never repeated. Also spectacular Tomislav Cvitanušić was there as well ,Everest summiteer in 2023.
Wonderful evening indeed with like-minded people.
