Three weeks ago I decided to face a big challenge, assuming as the new Head Coach of , a semi-professional soccer team in Clearwater, FL that is competing in the (4th tier).
During this last three weeks I have been working on a few very simple tactical concepts to create an identity and personality for the team, however this concepts are usually not that easy to follow at this level:
1.- To play at one-two-max three touches in zones I and II, thatโs controlling the ball, passing the ball and moving to be a pass option again.
2.- Doing all above always with the ball on the ground.
3.- Doing it with triangulations executing short passes to protect the ball and keep possession as much as possible.
4.- Moving the ball around to find spaces even if that mean going all the way back and restart again.
And 5.- Always aiming down to the poles when facing the goal to score.
This one minute play show every single one of those concepts and I cannot be prouder of this guys that showed up an amazing performance yesterday to get our second win in a row togethers in a brilliant match that ended with a very well deserved score of 1 - 9!! โฝ๏ธ๐๐
This week we gonna keep working hard to prepare the last two games of the group phase which gonna be super tough against direct rivals in our objective to finish in the 5th place to face the 4th place into the playoffs, but playing in this way, we are becoming such a very dangerous team. ๐คท๐ปโโ๏ธ๐ช๐ผ
