In Philadelphia at the 10 Day Film National Awards ceremony for the top twenty finalists, Clearwater High’s “Hall Cops” achieved Top Three Finalist nominations for Best Performance and Best Use of Character.

After placing 2nd overall and winning five category awards including for Best Performance in the Multi-State division of the 10 Day Film Challenge, Clearwater High's "Hall Cops" film was chosen as a finalist to compete for the World's Best 10 Day Film of 2018. The film was produced by CDMP advanced TV/film students along with Clearwater High drama students. Their film was selected from the 700 films created by 5,000 students in 170 high schools across 25 states, 8 countries, and 3 continents.

Congratulations to the students of our TV Production program here at Clearwater High. They achieved 15 awards that were given at the Florida Scholastic Press Association convention. One of the top honors in the state went to Jonathan Edewaard who received the "Best of the Best Winner" for his All-State Award winner in Motion Graphics. He also received an award for his Broadcast Show Opening. Our CTN daily news show was awarded a Silver Award in the Broadcast Evaluations. In addition, Skyler Negron won an Excellent Award for her Feature Package. The other thirteen awards were for Short Films, Public Service Announcements, and Feature Packages. FL - Hall Cops - clearwater hs

During the 10 Day Film Challenge Multi-State online screening and awards presentation, Clearwater High School was named as the 2nd Place overall winner for their film "Hall Cops." The winners were chosen from among the top 30 films that were announced in March. Clearwater High's TV/film and drama student production also picked up first place awards in the "Best Performances" category and the "Best Use of Character" category. In addition, Clearwater also garnered top three finalists in the "Best Music, Best Use of Line of Dialogue" and "Best Opening Titles" categories. Congratulations to all the Clearwater High students who helped put together this award-winning production.

Founded by educators with over 75 combined years in Television and Film Production education and administration, the 10 Day Film Challenge is a competition that is ideal for the 21st Century classroom.

This competition challenges all students to think creatively and critically while enhancing digital literacy. The mission of the parent non-profit Arts Equality that supports the 10 Day Film Challenge is to provide all students with a free, comprehensive, fair and competitive outlet for their work while giving their teachers the opportunity to assess the students' ability to think and perform in a dynamic, fast-paced and rigorous learning environment. In 2017, it has grown to 145 high schools impacting 4,500 student filmmakers from 25 states.
