When hosting do you usually set a table or do you go less formal with a buffet? how about even when you are not hosting, but at home with your family?

One of my chores as a child was to set the table each evening. I guess that's where my love of setting a pretty table comes from. My mother was a stickler for a proper table setting, even on ordinary weeknights. Because I was accustomed to this practice, I usually almost always continue to set the table every night. I think my mother gave us all a gift by setting an inviting table each night. It slowed us down, made dinner an event. Time to enjoy our food, our surroundings, and the company of each other.

Its these small practices that can bring a bit of pleasure to an ordinary day. :)

Buddy is out of surgery. Buddy did very well. They are going to send him home with a bandage and soft collar. They said don't worry about doing any would care. He will have a follow up appointment and they will take care of his stitches and wound then. He is sleeping now. They will give him another pain injection and we can pick him up at 3pm. He will still be sleepy through the day.
Please keep him your prayers for a great recovery and smooth transition and adaptation to his new lifestyle.
Thank you, again, everyone. To Janelle, thank you more than words can say, for being with Buddy, along this journey. You are, and will always be our hero and resident Earth Angel. 😇 ❤️🙏❤️ 🥰😘
