Recently, some of our Moore Marine College students participated in beach cleanups around Tampa Bay! ๐โป๏ธ
Projects like these give our students the opportunity to get hands-on with conservation efforts that directly benefit our local marine ecosystems and coastal wildlife.
As summer approaches and more people head to the beaches, remember to leave only your footprints behind and help us keep our coastlines clean for the animals that call them home. ๐โ๏ธ

Weโre so proud of our Moore Marine College students, Aziz Hassanali, Grace Kim, and Luke Tannenbaum, for presenting at the Florida Marine Science Educators Association conference at Florida Atlantic University Harbor Branch Oceanographic Institute! ๐๐
Their poster, โData-Driven Sampling: The Role of Indicator Species in Shark and Ray Research,โ highlighted ongoing research conducted by and the college, using real data collected in the field to share insights on shark and ray conservation.
Opportunities like this allow students to gain valuable experience presenting within the scientific community while building confidence, strengthening communication skills, and making meaningful connections in the field!

We had a great time visiting a college fair in Escambia County, Florida and connecting with the next generation of students interested in marine biology!
It was a pleasure sharing more about career paths in the field and the unique opportunities available through an education at Moore Marine College.
Weโre always excited to meet future marine scientists and help them take the first step toward their goals. ๐

Moore Marine College beach cleanup day!
Students found some interesting things such as electrical cables, scrunchies, and a ton of plastic.
