Our NSU Tampa DPT students and faculty had a great time providing fitness screens for Special Olympics athletes over the weekend at the Special Olympics Florida State Fall Classic. Students had the opportunity to complete valuable assessments of strength, range of motion, flexibility, balance, and endurance.
Our team was part of a multidisciplinary Special Olympics Florida Healthy Athletes initiative that, together, provided more than 2,700 screens!

π Special Olympics Summer Games 2025 Success! π
Our amazing NSU Tampa DPT students and faculty had the privilege of supporting the Special Olympics Florida Summer Games by providing FUNfitness screenings for the athletes. With the help of dedicated volunteers, over 3,600 health screenings were completed! πͺπ½π
Our DPT students gained hands-on experience assessing strength, endurance, and mobility, while cheering on the incredible athletes.
A huge thank you to everyone who helped make this event such a success! π

This yearβs Pinellas Challenge brought together over 50 Parkinsonβs warriors and their care partners, along with faculty, lab assistants, alumni, and PT students for a one-mile obstacle course inspired by the Savage Race.
