During our recent trip to San Diego, we toured the Maritime Museum, which is a collection of historiacl boats (and a submarine) in the San Diego harbor. Some of our students even went sailing on an authentic pirate style boat!

We'll take any excuse to combine math and baking—from rolling dough to converting fractions, and measuring ingredients to multiplying recipes!

Our Jr. High students set their sights on the stars with Carry On, Mr. Bowditch last month.

Through this inspiring story, they explored perseverance, courage, mathematics, and the power of determination. Our math classes had quite the challenge calculating some of Nat's financial endevours!

Mrs. Carlson enjoys all things animal, but she spent 15 years in the steel building industry, where she used trigonometry daily. She believes that learning takes root when it’s applied to real life and that it’s never too late to learn something new.
