Meet Our New Staff! 💛🖤

We’re excited to introduce Mallory Rudningen, who will be joining the Clearbrook-Gonvick School team as our Elementary Music Teacher for the 2026–2027 school year!

Hi! My name is Mallory Rudningen and I will be teaching elementary music and enrichment this year! I am originally from Kerkhoven, a small town in west central MN. I am a 2023 graduate of UND with a degree in elementary education and minor in early childhood education. I spent the last three years teaching first grade at Ben Franklin Elementary in Grand Forks. This past summer, I had the opportunity to help coach summer rec softball as well as JO volleyball here in Clearbrook. I am so excited to be joining the Clearbrook-Gonvick School District!

Meet Our New Staff! 💛🖤

We’re excited to introduce Leah Watne, who will be joining the Clearbrook-Gonvick School team as our Activities Director for the 2026–2027 school year!

Hi everyone! My name is Leah Watne. I am excited to be stepping into the Activities Director role here at Clearbrook-Gonvick.
I’ve been involved at CG in a few different roles over the years—as a substitute teacher, coach, Bear Booster, and parent.

I look forward to taking on this new role and continuing to work with our students, families, coaches, & school community in a different way.

My husband, Nate, and I have 3 daughters who attend CG School and we are thankful to call this community our home. When we aren’t living in the gym (three girls equals lots of volleyball & basketball!), we enjoy spending time together in the great outdoors.

I’m looking forward to the school year ahead and hope to see you all cheering in the stands for our Bear athletes!

Meet Our New Staff! 💛🖤

We’re excited to introduce Shannon Lambert, who will be joining the Clearbrook-Gonvick School team as our Stellher School-Based Mental Health Practitioner for the 2026–2027 school year!

Hi, I’m Shannon Lambert, and I’m excited to join Stellher as a School-Based Mental Health Practitioner at the Clearbrook School. I have a background in social work and have spent much of my career supporting children, families, and schools. I’m passionate about helping kids feel heard, supported, and successful, while working alongside the caring adults in their lives.

Outside of work, I’m married to my high school sweetheart and am a mom to six boys and a grandma to three little ones, including one granddaughter! I enjoy cooking from scratch, gardening, spending time at the lake with my family, and working on our little homestead blog. I’m excited to get to know the students, staff, and families in the Clearbrook-Gonvick community!

Meet Our New Staff! 💛🖤

We’re excited to introduce Jill Neustel, who will be joining the Clearbrook-Gonvick School team as our School Counselor for the 2026–2027 school year!

Jill Neustel is excited to begin the school year as the official School Counselor at Clearbrook-Gonvick School. What began as a school counseling internship has grown into a rewarding journey that included a number of different roles. These experiences have strengthened her connections with students, staff, and families, while deepening her understanding of the school community.
Originally from the West Coast, Jill and her family have spent the last decade putting down roots in Clearwater County after hopscotching across the Midwest. She brings a diverse background in education, including experiences as a paraprofessional and middle school teacher. Jill holds a bachelor's degree in Psychology and earned her Master's degree in School Counseling, along with additional clinical training.

When she is not at school, Jill enjoys tackling creative and hands-on projects. This summer alone, she painted 5 original canvases, built a kitchen stand for a mini fridge, and began restoring a 2000 Honda Civic Coupe with the help of her husband's automotive expertise. While she enjoys creating new projects and learning new skills, she is more than ready to trade her toolbox and paintbrushes for the opportunity to support students, collaborate with staff, and help make this school year a successful one for everyone.

Jill looks forward to working with students and families as they navigate academic, social-emotional, and future planning goals throughout the year.
